Happy New Year

The day after Labour Day always signals the “beginning” of the year to me.  I’m sure it’s the years of the first day of school for me ingrained in my psyche and the now seven years of the first day of school for my son.

To me September is much more the New Year than January 1.   It’s wide open with possibility and promise.  Unstructured leads to structured.  No temptation to resolve; only to do.

Truthfully there is a slight mourning of the loss of the summer, but that is quickly overtaken by the excitement of new things to come.

What is it that you desire for your success in the next 90 days?  What do you want to start and finish?  What is your unique contribution you can bring to your family, community and workplace? How outrageous to you want to be?

I’d love to know your thoughts.
